Holiday Inn Express Fulda by IHG

Our son ended up sleeping on the floor with only a duvet. We had booked for more people than the beds provided, and the two older children were expected to share one sofa bed. This was a first for us. When I raised it, the staff blamed Hotels.com, accepted no responsibility, and kept interrupting me. One staff member also made sexist and very unpleasant comments. The night cost more than almost any other we've paid in Germany, which made the experience even more disappointing. Absolutely unacceptable, and we won't return.

The service here stood out from the hotels I've used on trips back and forth from vacation. The room was clean and pleasant, with good lighting, and the air conditioning worked very well and was easy to operate. Having two power sockets beside the bed was handy. Breakfast was a little better than you'd expect at a place like this. I'd definitely stay again and fully recommend it.

The hotel is near the center, though it faces busy roads. We didn't hear the traffic in the rooms because they are sound isolated. Our modern room was okay, and breakfast was okay too. Sometimes room cleaning was missed, but otherwise things were fine. A paper pad and pen would be useful, and there isn't a small fridge in the room.

Our room was neat and clean, and breakfast was nice too. The staff were super friendly, and it was easy to get around on foot.
