The prices are reasonable, but I find the small snacks too expensive. The place is accessible, though it needs more staff when it's full.

I always sleep veeeery well here, helped by the small number of guests and the peaceful feel. The breakfast is regional, plentiful, high quality, and includes many homemade items. Rooms are consistently clean and practically furnished, with no unnecessary frills, making this a great place to rest and relax. There are signs of age here and there. If that bothers you, a modern hotel chain may suit you better, though it won't have the same charm and tranquility.

As a local, I can only give a limited review since the owner is currently on vacation. The hotel manager is very friendly, the cuisine is excellent, and the rooms are lovely. There's also an elevator, and the location is very quiet. There are great hiking opportunities nearby, and the hotel is 5 km from the Czech border. Pilsen is an hour's drive away for a brewery tour, and a zoo visit is highly recommended too. Furth im Wald, the "Dragon City," is only 3 km away, and there's much more to see.

The friendly service and quiet location were positives. The value for money doesn't feel right, given the lack of Wi-Fi, a minor bathroom construction flaw with an open joint, and vegetation blocking the restaurant view. I judge it against the size of the place and its prices, which I'd describe as "rural" and "above average."
