Hotel Löwengarten

We spent two nights here with our four children, and the whole stay was wonderful. Everyone was super friendly, and the rooms were lovely. The beds, showers, and bathroom, the things that really matter, were great. There was a table tennis room downstairs for the kids, a library, and a great internet connection. Great price and great fun. Speyer itself is lovely and works well for kids and adults, with the Technical museum and the church's wonderful architecture. I can't recommend the place highly enough. We'll be back for our anniversary, without the kids :)

It's about a 15 minute walk to Speyer Cathedral, so the location is pretty good. Gedächniskirche is close enough to hear, and its gothic architecture is lit up at night, visible from our window. I didn't eat breakfast here, so I can't comment on it. The room was quiet and clean, with good A/C, and I slept well. The price was a little more than I'd expected for a room of this standard.

The restaurant out there is good, and the hotel is always tidy with helpful staff and reliable service. My room, 201, looked magnificent and was clean. When I put the “tidy room” hanger outside, they always tidied it for me. And if you have kids, they give them haribos. I'd recommend it.

On my business trip to Speyer, I stayed at this pretty little hotel in the center of town. It felt very homie, the rooms were cozy, and breakfast was delicious. Speyer is a beautiful little town too.
