The rooms were clean and roomy. The location was good, and service was efficient. The food was good too.

The big dining deck has a stunning view, and dinner at the restaurant was top notch. Our family of four adults stayed here during our bike trip around Lake Constance, and this was one of our favorite stops. The owner is a sweetie, breakfast was delicious and well stocked, and the rooms are new and lovely. Our ground floor room had a patio, while the others have decks. Would highly recommend!

The staff are nice, the place is clean, and there’s parking. But it’s only okay, and I don’t think it’s worth 140 Euros a night. There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the room, no mini bar, and the TV was about the size of a computer screen.

The setting is calm and scenic, about 500m from the Rhein river. It’s a quiet, cozy hotel just across the German and Swiss border, and convenient for Schaffhausen, around a 15-20 minute drive. The hotel is very clean and neat, breakfast is fantastic, and it’s good value for money. Definitely recommend.

We paid 150 Euros a night for a small basement room under the restaurant, and it was nowhere near worth that price. There was very little light, no view because a concrete wall separated us from the parking lot, and restaurant guests on the terrace above could look straight down into the small patio sitting area. If you have to stay here, avoid rooms 1 through 5.
