Jagdschloss Kotelow

The peace and quiet were fantastic, and we especially appreciated how clean everything was. Huge praise to the cleaning staff! We spent two nights in the beautifully renovated hunting lodge, with its tasteful mix of rustic and modern style. It felt relaxing and lovely, though not like a typical hotel at all. We also liked the room design, the terrace by the lake, the extra shared rooms, and the little kitchen with coffee, tea, and a fridge. One thing to know: there's no door separating the bathroom area, which could be awkward for a couple on their first trip together. We'd been together for years, so it wasn't an issue for us. A lovely stay, and we'd happily come back.

The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, and we loved that none had a TV. It was easy to properly unwind without hearing a neighbor's TV noise in the evening. We stayed at the Jagdschloss as a couple from Friday to Sunday, and the welcome and care we received were so warm. The whole house is a dream. We'll definitely return!

Evenings were best spent with a glass of wine on the terrace or in the historic lounges instead of watching TV. We had such a peaceful, restorative weekend at this special place, with lovingly furnished rooms, period furniture, a creaky old staircase, and lovely wide wooden floorboards. The staff seemed happy to chat even though they were busy. The booking advice was excellent, and we were welcomed warmly when we arrived. If you're looking for quiet away from tourist hotspots, this is the place. One tip: sign up for dinner at the hotel during breakfast, where a special meal is always offered, or book a table nearby well ahead of time. There are very few dining options in the area. I really liked the house from the outside. It's very nice, and I'd love to spend a holiday there sometime.
