Thanks, Laura and Benjamin. The owners were nice and helpful, and the spacious apartment had everything we needed. It’s on a quiet street near the GaPa center, with a view of Hausberg. A lovely place to stay any time of year, especially if you enjoy sports and nature around Zugspitze.

We had a lovely time in Garmisch and at Apartment Sophie. The location is excellent, with everything in town within walking distance, and the apartment is well equipped. The bathroom is very nice, and there’s a small, sheltered garden by a fairly quiet street. A few things kept it from being five stars for me. You can hear the stairwell and neighboring garages, and the refrigerator is noticeable at night in the main bedroom. The Vodafone cable internet and TV often malfunction, with pixelated pictures and occasional outages, though that may be the provider’s fault. The apartment gets musty quickly, so you need to follow the ventilation routine. That wasn’t an issue in summer, but could be in winter. The garage is also too small for my car, which is 2m wide and 1.7m high.

We had to cancel our stay at Ferienwohnung Sophia for health reasons, unfortunately. Still, we had a positive experience with the friendly, cooperative landlord, Benjamin, and communication with him was very pleasant.
