The wellness area is spacious, impressive, clean and thoughtfully set up. I can see why someone might visit just for that, though I'd highly recommend staying at the hotel as well. The staff were kind and attentive, and going above and beyond seemed to come naturally. My balcony room was just the right size, with lovely mountain views, and an affordable afternoon snack, including amazing soup, was ready right when I arrived. There were thoughtful extras waiting in the room: a welcome package for my dog, since I had a pet with me, plus a hiking backpack, robe and spa basket. Dinner was spectacular, I had the duck. Breakfast had just about everything: juices, champagne, meats and cheeses, lox, bread, yogurt and muesli, three kinds of honey and pastries. They also make fried eggs or omelets to order. There were nice surprises all over the place. I wish I could've stayed longer; they really blew me away.

The food was good and the service excellent. The hotel is generally great, but Room 404 had a bathroom from the last century and mold on the panel above the bed. They said they'd investigate the mold but never followed through.

The spa was amazing, with heated pools, a jacuzzi and lots of different saunas. We rented bikes from the hotel and rode around town, and breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time so much that we extended our stay by an extra day. I highly recommend staying here.

The on-site playground was a hit with the kids, who made great friends there and had a wonderful time. The pool and sauna stood out for everyone, across the ages. We travelled with two small children and two grandparents, and the hotel made it easy, even though the weather was only average. The food was excellent, and the complimentary afternoon cakes were a lovely touch. We had a fantastic stay at Staudacherhof in Garmisch. Highly recommended for families!

We were meant to stay one night, but loved it so much that we managed to book our room for a second and spent two beautiful days here. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the pools and spa felt refreshing and welcoming. We're already wishing we could go back, and would absolutely stay here again.
