The host communication was a real plus, as was the location: just outside central Garmisch, with a lovely 20/25 minute walk along the river into town. They’re pet-friendly too. For our dog, the charge was 9€ per night, if I remember correctly. The rooms look very antiquated, so be aware of that, though they do the job. The beds are comfortable, and there’s a fridge/freezer, cooker, and a great shower. I’d say the 4-stars are a little generous, but still deserved.

A great hiking route is only a 5 minute walk away, and that’s priceless. The house is really nice, with good facilities and friendly staff. The internet was slow and kept losing its signal, and the bathroom door scraped the floor loudly enough to wake everyone when I went to the toilet. Small annoyances, all things considered.

The price is quite reasonable, and it’s a quiet, pleasant place for a holiday. The apartment is very nice in an old-fashioned way, though a bit outdated, and it’s pretty far from the bahnhof. We’ll come back.

It’s a very quiet area at night, and you can hear the Partnach River. The terrace has a beautiful mountain view, and the kitchen is equipped with what you need. The location is close to the Rhine Valley route to the Zugspitze, about 10 minutes from the bus stop and a 20 minute walk to the train station. We had a great atmosphere and friendly, helpful hosts.
