The place looked closed when we arrived, but we called and got a room. The double room cost 70€, which seemed fair, though the beds were too soft for adults. It was quiet at night since it's away from the main road.

After cycling there, I really wanted a firmer mattress. The ones in our room were worn or just too soft, so for €70 cash on May 26th, with no breakfast, the triple room felt a little pricey. The bathroom was spotless. The room was cold at first because the windows were tilted open, though the heating made it comfortable after about an hour. We had to wait 20 minutes for the owner after our first call didn't work and they called us back. The guesthouse looked empty, but we were put right beside another guest, and we'd have liked a bit more space. The stairwell smelled strongly of cigarettes, while our room smelled of perfume. Cheap blinds let in the morning light, so we were up at 5:30. Then cleaning started in the next room at 7:30, which was loud and maybe early for people on holiday.

For cyclists, this is a good place to stop. We arrived late, and when we asked, the friendly staff kept the kitchen open. The schnitzels were perfect, and we really appreciated that. Everything was clean and cared for, even if the beds creaked. We're not in Berlin, so the standard is absolutely fine. I'd recommend booking by phone. It can look shut from outside, but it isn't. Thanks so much, we'd love to come back soon!

The welcome at Pommernstube reaches beyond the people. There was so much food that the horse could happily have stayed for four weeks! Many thanks for fitting us in at such short notice. Warm wishes, Ursula, currently hiking with Frieda and Kamika.

We felt right at home and would love to return. Sitting in your courtyard in the evenings was such a pleasure, and the rooms were clean and very well kept. The breakfast table was lovingly set, with tasty rolls and a boiled egg. And special thanks to Mr. Kruse and the team, especially the cook, for the delicious potato salad and meatballs we happily devoured on our paddling trip with Frauke Bennett. You made our silver wedding anniversary trip with our friends a wonderful occasion. Thank you!
