The breakfast was nowhere near the Italian breakfast promised in the brochure. We got four small rolls, two slices of cheese, and two slices of sausage. When we arrived for our short break, the room shocked us: dirty sheets and bedding, dust bunnies all over the floor, and blood on the bathroom door. We were so appalled that we booked somewhere else.

The hostess was friendly and checked whether everything was okay, and said to let her know if I needed anything. Check-in through the key safe was easy. The room and breakfast were good and perfectly adequate. I had to bake the rolls myself, but that didn't bother me. The TV was in an awkward spot. There wasn't a proper wardrobe, a shower shelf, a shelf above the sink, or a hairdryer, though none of that was a big deal.

The biggest issue was cleanliness: the kitchen hadn't even been swept, the shower grout was dirty, mold had built up on the silicone seals, and the curtain needed replacing. Breakfast was put in the fridge in the morning for the following day, and surely there are fresher ways to handle it. The minimalist place has Ikea furnishings, which are fine in themselves, but there are only four outlets and two are already taken. Maybe minimalism is something guests are expected to appreciate. More care with the details would have made the place look much better.

The bathroom wasn't clean, and breakfast was already sitting in the fridge a day ahead. The rolls were rubbery, and some of the cold cuts couldn't be eaten. Calling this place a "Villa" makes no sense to me. One star feels too generous, so I can't recommend it.
