KH Hotel

The main road through town brings quite a bit of noise. Still, the hotel is spacious and comfortable, and parking on the street is an option when the limited hotel spots are full. Breakfast was okay, not the best. A good place to stay between Munich and Ingolstadt.

Because of a personal situation involving my mother, we had to cancel our room for the following day. We asked whether they could make an allowance, but they wouldn't, and we'll have to pay even though we won't use the room. I understand the cancellation policy, but there was still time to rebook, so I expected some understanding. Rules are rules, but sometimes a bit of consideration matters more than simply pointing to policy. That's why I gave one star. I hope they never find themselves in the same situation, and I'll avoid this hotel in future. I prefer a more human touch to a business-first, 'computer says no' attitude.

The service was the best part of our first stay at a KH hotel. We arrived quite late, after the 4pm-11pm check-in window, but they still waited for us. They ask guests to email their ETA for planning, especially for a late arrival, which seems fair. Breakfast was included and offered a good spread with Bavarian delicacies. Our room, D22, was very spacious, with two beds about the size of US queen beds, enough for our family of four. Windows opened in several parts of the room, looking out either onto the Main Street or the restaurant courtyard. The bathroom had a shower with an optional rainfall setting, which was very refreshing. The hotel is on the main road in a small town, with free street parking and garage parking. The staff and service were extremely friendly, and dinner was nice. Breakfast was very good too. The room was great, with a fantastic walk-in shower, but it was very warm without air conditioning. Opening the windows let in a lot of traffic noise. The location is great, close to the highway.
