The breakfast was good and the guest houses were okay. The staff were polite, though not friendly. The hotel is quite far from the city center: it’s almost 3 km away, not about 1 km as I was told. The downhill walk took 40 minutes.

The restaurant has a nicely done winter garden. The service was slow, and the food was okay, nothing special.

Mr. Neugebauer was so kind and helped us out when no taxis were running, which we really appreciated. We’d come to Haus Neugebauer for one night because of a wedding invitation at Schwarzenstein Castle. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. A very pleasant stay.
