Grimmelshausen Hotel

One thing to keep in mind if you're carrying lots of bags or have trouble with stairs: there's no lift, just stairs. Otherwise, we had a comfortable, spacious enough room, and the owner was gracious, friendly and accommodating. Each morning brought a lovely traditional German breakfast spread. The hotel sits right in the Aldstadt, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a bakery. For parking, book ahead: you can rent a garage space through the hotel, or pay to use one of the public lots.

We stayed for five nights at this decent hotel, which is in a very convenient spot. The hosts were really sweet and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.

Everything in this lovely town is close by, with shops and restaurants just a stone's throw from the hotel in the center. It's a comfortable, very nice place, and the owners go out of their way to make guests feel at ease. I'd love to come back sometime.

The building dates back to the 11th century and has a real old German traditional feel. If that's the kind of stay you're after at a good price, this place is a good fit. The staff were so helpful, and the meal was delicious. We had an amazing stay.
