Hotel Regerhof

It was okay.

The rooms were nice, and the service was very friendly. It’s in a fairly quiet spot but still close to the action. I only came for breakfast, so I can’t say much about the food, but it was very filling.

The owner is nice and attentive to the guests’ well-being, and the price-performance ratio is acceptable. The furniture is dated, as is true of most hotels in this class, and it can be a noisy place to sleep. Rooms facing the street are especially loud, partly because the windows don’t close properly or sometimes don’t open at all. There’s no Wi-Fi, and the beds are hit or miss. Many tradesmen stay here. It feels like a typical hotel for construction workers, and I wouldn’t stay here privately. Perhaps someone should work here.

The staff were very friendly, but I won’t stay here again. The rooms are adequate for the price, yet they were extremely hot despite the mild weather. It was much too warm in early May. You can open the windows, but that’s not advisable because the kitchen facing the courtyard is noisy. The adjacent parking lot and restaurant patrons talking loudly also made a good night’s sleep impossible.
