The food was good, but the potatoes cost extra and we expected a serving each. Instead, three of us got two small bowls, and the potatoes were swimming in grease.

The view and peaceful location are hard to beat. Haus Astenberg felt welcoming for families, with plenty to do in the surrounding area, and we had a very pleasant, comfortable stay. The hotel was relaxed, with clean, well-kept rooms furnished comfortably. The service was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or requests. Breakfast had all the basics and was good enough in quality, though a bit more choice would have been nice, especially for bread, cold cuts, and fresh produce. It was still sufficient to start the day. The hotel offers good value for money, and we’d definitely return. Anyone looking for a relaxing stay without expecting too much luxury should feel at home here.

The small plateau is a fantastic spot, with the Astenturm tower and the source of the Lenne River just a 10-minute walk away. It’s also easy to walk down the hill to the center of Neuastenberg. Breakfast was delicious and had everything we needed. The service was very friendly, and the simple rooms have all the essentials, including a kettle and tea bags. A great place to stay.

Sabrina and Daniel are wonderful hosts, and the service was excellent. Our motorcycles were safe, breakfast had everything we wanted, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We’d be happy to return. The Moped Drivers recommend Haus Astenberg.
