Maxim Apartments Mainz

Cleanliness matters most to me, and this place fell short. I won't be coming back.

I couldn't sleep on the last night because I left the lights on to keep the cockroaches away. They were in both the bedroom and bathroom, even though I never ate in the room or brought food there. On my first day, the floor was already dirty, and it hadn't been swept or vacuumed. The room had modern-looking furnishings, but it was shabby and badly maintained. The furniture and bathroom fixtures were damaged, the carpet was in terrible shape, and the towels had rust stains and left white fluff. The room was very noisy, too, and I could hear every movement outside the door. For a room with a terrace that cost so much, this was scandalous. I also found it difficult to plan my trip and check-in time because the staff didn't answer messages sent through Booking.com. The only way to communicate was in person when I arrived. I didn't like the stay at all.

The staff were so friendly, and the rooms were huge and really, really clean. It's right in the city center, so we didn't need a car or public transport. I'll definitely come back with pleasure!

We ate at the in-house restaurant, and the food was delicious in a lovely atmosphere. There's also a really nice beer garden in the back courtyard. Our room faced that courtyard, so we could switch off the air conditioning and sleep with the window open. It was peaceful even though the hotel is in the city center. The room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. More than five stars! We'll definitely be back 😊
