Super 8 by Wyndham Mainz Zollhafen

The bathroom made this stay miserable. After one of my children showered, water had spread all over the floor. The mirror was fogged, the dehumidifier didn’t work, and there were no windows to let in fresh air. I called reception straight away, but they just told me not to shower again. We’d paid for a room with a bathroom we couldn’t use. The staff member I spoke to was rude and dismissive. In the morning we had to shower anyway, and the bathroom flooded again. Our towels were still soaked from cleaning up the first flood, and nobody replaced them. We had to use the public toilets instead of the facilities in our room. Water covered the floors in our rooms, and it was such a mess that even our socks got wet. Why should anyone have to stay somewhere like that? Breakfast was a mess too. There was just one staff member, who sent us to wait outside because there was “no space,” while dirty tables were left uncleared. Once we got in, there weren’t any cups for tea or coffee. That was a terrible start to the birthday morning I’d hoped for. I was so sad. My special day was ruined. I’d booked the hotel for my children and me to celebrate my birthday, and it was a terrible decision. The room was acceptable, nothing special, but the problems made what should have been a happy day completely miserable. This all happened on 06.09.25, a day I wanted to spend celebrating with my children. Instead it became one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. I also couldn’t get a reply after emailing management. That’s horrible and shouldn’t be acceptable in Germany in 2025. Please look at the attached photos and video, which show the situation better. There were no international TV channels, only German ones, and no YouTube, Netflix, or anything like that. I can’t recommend this hotel. The facilities are poorly maintained, the service was terrible, and the staff were rude and unprofessional.
