The rooms feel old, and the double bed has two mattresses instead of one king or queen size mattress. I wouldn’t recommend this for couples or people on holiday. It might suit solo business travelers. At breakfast, they kept pressing us to leave at 10 each morning, even though the buffet station hadn’t been cleared. I understand closing breakfast at a set time, but disturbing people who are still eating is unpleasant. I haven’t had that happen in over 10 years of traveling. The same goes for the pool: you can’t use it after checking out. I’ve never encountered that anywhere else in the world. Usually a swim is a nice way to fill the time before a flight, but that wasn’t allowed here.

The hotel is peaceful during the day, sitting at the edge of town, and the rooms are clean and really beautiful. The food was great, and the staff were kind and helpful. There’s also a swimming pool if you want to go for a swim. I took off a star for the rooms because there’s no air conditioning. They’re pretty cool, but downright cold at night. With air conditioning that could heat or cool, they’d be five star rooms, no problem.

The conditions were bad, and the place was expensive. The staff, especially the women, seemed old and bored, and their attitude was bad. Everything follows the rules, with nothing human about it and no room to adjust to people’s needs. I’ll never go back.

The attached Greek restaurant was very good, though I didn’t get a chance to try breakfast. The rooms are nice, and I’d stay here again. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, and I waited a while to speak with the front desk. Oktoberfest had all the hotels full, which caused the room delay, and one man was monopolizing the desk, so neither issue was really the hotel’s fault.
