Abasto Hotel & Spa Maisach

The staff were very good, and the hotel seemed well organized overall. My main issue was the shaggy carpet in the rooms. It had lots of stains and trapped hair, so it seemed impossible to keep clean. I understand some rooms have laminate flooring, but none were available while I was there. I think the owners should replace the carpets throughout with laminate or a more practical, regular carpet.

There’s a Lidl right across the street, and a swimming lake only a minute’s walk away, which was great for cooling off on a hot day. The hotel is in a residential area and stayed quiet even with the motorway nearby. My room was very clean, with a good bed, fresh sheets, a modern bathroom, and toiletries provided. The whole place was well kept and made a good impression. Breakfast was great too, with a good selection that was regularly replenished, lovely bread, and good coffee. The staff were friendly. For £80 a room, it was a great stopover on a long trip.

We arrived in autumn, but the room was warm enough. It was clean, with a wide bed, lovely new furniture, and a TV. The staff were very friendly, waited for us, and helped sort out all our problems. They spoke English quite well. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of delicious, healthy options.

The city centre is extremely far away, and even though the bus stop is right in front of the hotel, there’s no service on weekends. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Lidl is just across the street. Gerlinden train station is about a 20-minute walk.
