There’s enough room in the cabins for two, and even for four people, and they’re charmingly furnished. The cabins were relatively clean, though the immediate area could use better upkeep and that takes away from the look of the place. It’s a cute idea for a night away, and the kids had a great time. I’d try it for one night, but wouldn’t personally stay longer. Better maintenance would have earned five stars, so I’m giving it four.

The highlight for us was sleeping in the wine barrels. They were clean, comfortably heated, and had a separate private bathroom. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were excellent, served in a pleasant atmosphere. The barrels and the hotel next door are run by a friendly, helpful family. Father and son even picked us up after our hikes to Hornbach and Sarreguemines, and gave us a brief tour of the area. I’d recommend this place to pilgrims on the Way of St. James, hikers, cyclists, and families.
