Intermar Hotel & Apartments

The penthouse was very clean, with a fantastic sea view and a dream of a kitchen. We had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday there, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. But the terrace was dirty and neglected, with bird mess everywhere. For the price, at least a rose or tulip could have been blooming. The staff were rude. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was awful: the food had no taste and smelled like old pork, and the steak was made only of pork. I’ll never go back.

Breakfast was one of the best buffets I’ve ever had. It was crowded, and the hotel seemed full, but the team did its best to get everyone served quickly and start the day well. The room was huge, comfortable, and very clean. The hotel isn’t brand new, but it all looks quite renovated, and the reception and service staff were super friendly. The hotel and its location made our short weekend trip unforgettable. The beach bar and restaurant Glückselig is also well worth a visit, just a 10-minute walk along a nice stretch of beach.

The location and breakfast are very good, but the cleaning and reception service were poor. We had to ask twice before our room was finally cleaned at 5:30 in the afternoon. The next day, housekeeping arrived late again, stayed for five minutes, and didn’t clean very well. We won’t return. The Strandhotel next door has a much better standard and very good personal service.

Our first-floor suite overlooking the Baltic Sea and beach was amazing, and big enough for a small family. The kitchenette had what we needed to feel comfortable, including a Nespresso machine and dishwasher, though there was no microwave. Being so close to the beach made it easy to change and go back and forth with young children. Breakfast was scrumptious, with a lovely continental spread, plus scrambled eggs, bacon, and beans in tomato sauce for anyone who likes an English breakfast. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The hotel may not look impressive outside, but after a major refurbishment two years ago, the interior is top class. The staff were delightful, and reception was always helpful.
