I needed a one-night stop before an early flight from Weeze airport, and the location worked well. My single room was clean and had basic facilities. I booked on booking.com for 30 euros, but when I said I wanted to pay by card, the host told me it would cost 35 euros to cover the charges. That extra fee hadn’t been mentioned anywhere. Luckily, there was an ATM about a five-minute walk away. Steintor, Susmühle, and places to eat are all reachable on foot within a few minutes.

The hotel is beside the main square, so you can walk to everything you might need in a couple of minutes. Goch is quiet in the evening and early morning, and the train station and out-of-town supermarkets are about a 10-minute walk away. I paid €30 for a single room, a price I couldn’t find anywhere else nearby, so I expected a dive. Instead, the room was pleasant and spotlessly clean, with a free bottle of mineral water. The showers and toilets in the corridor were spotless too.

Small but cozy hostel. There’s a really nice place next door for breakfast and lunch, and I think it’s run by the same owner.

The room was good for the price and, most importantly, clean. It was fine apart from the noise from the room by the road, especially when it got hot and I wanted to open the windows.

The room was clean and the bed was good, and it’s cheap and very central. But there was a lot of noise at night, both nights. It sounded like people were standing beside the bed talking loudly. Someone also stole my things from my bicycle in the garage behind the house, which was unlocked. The owner didn’t seem very interested when I told him.
