The food was really, really good, and we enjoyed it so much. The trout, chicken, salads, and soups were all great. Staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating, and they understood we were there with a tired kid. They seated us in a cozy little nook and provided small toys. Absolutely recommended!

The staff were so nice and spoke English, and I had a great time. It's an authentic place to visit and unwind. A tip: book the sauna. You can reserve it for private use, and it costs around 12€ per person for two hours. I'll definitely visit again 😊

A really lovely spot for a break, set between two or three beautiful lakes. The staff were exceptionally nice, and the restaurant was waaaaay delicious and well rated. We had a great time here.

This is a review of the restaurant only. The food was great, especially the local fish and potatoes, fried amazingly well. It was busy and the staff had a lot on their hands, but they stayed calm, professional, and very friendly, keeping the atmosphere relaxed. If you're traveling through, it's well worth stopping. I'd come back when I'm in the area, and maybe stay a night next time.

After we arrived late while driving through, we had a delicious dinner with generous portions at reasonable prices. Breakfast the next morning was lovely and had plenty of choices. The room was large and comfortable for three, and booking by email was easy with a very reasonable price. My daughter left her favorite stuffed animal behind, but they found it and mailed it to us. We had a wonderful experience at Zur Schmiede and would be very happy to stay again!
