Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

The room was clean and decent, and the staff seemed nice, but this didn’t feel like a four-star hotel. I asked for housekeeping during my stay and nobody came. Hot water swung between scalding and freezing, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room, which was a major inconvenience. I get that a huge hotel can’t make everything perfect, but if you need dependable internet and service, I’d stay elsewhere.

Breakfast was fresh, had plenty of choice, and despite the crowds there was hardly any waiting. The staff were helpful too, apart from reception when we arrived. We stayed three nights for a Berlin long weekend, and Alexanderplatz made public transport easy, including the S9 airport line. Our room on the 34th floor had great views east, though it was tiny. It was clean and practical, with a pod coffee machine; they brought us a kettle when we asked. The shower worked well, but the bed was very hard and wasn’t a proper double. For dinner, the food court at the nearby Alexa mall suited us. Convenient and functional, more than comfortable.

The breakfast had a great range, from hot dishes to continental options, and the concierge was really helpful with information. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, had a great view, and worked well for us. The hotel is busy at weekends, but we had no trouble with the water or lifts, despite things I’d read in earlier reviews. It’s only about two minutes from Alexanderplatz train station, right in the center. We had a wonderful weekend in Berlin and would definitely stay at Park Inn By Raddisson again. The check-in and checkout were quick and easy with the self-service system, and the double room was a good size. It’s in a great spot in Alexanderplatz. The room got too warm because they keep the air conditioning off over winter. We had to open the window and put up with the street noise.
