Hotel Bacchusstube garni

We've stayed in plenty of hotels while traveling with our dog, but this was the worst. We only stopped to ask if they had a room available, and the administrator came running out, shouted for us to go away with the dog, and threatened to call the police. I can't believe that can happen in the middle of Germany.

The location is ideal for travelers, right off the a3 and beside a Lidl and petrol station, yet the trees and fence keep it quiet. The sheets, towels, and bathroom seemed clean, and smokers get a balcony. It's retro, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but don't expect too much. For what you pay, you get what you get. Still, clearing out the fake flowers and old feather pillows and duvets could make the place much better. The receptionist was otherwise friendly and kind of efficient, though hiding the booze from them took a bit of effort. Wow.. 😂🙈

The receptionist couldn't find my Expedia booking for the night and got angry with me. He was really unfriendly and shouted. I'd look for somewhere else to sleep. Avoid.

The place is expensive for such poor quality. The entrance smelled bad, the walls were dirty, the bathroom wasn't clean, and the service was terrible. You can't get breakfast until 7, and the hotel doors don't open before then either, so unless you have a balcony, you can't even get some air beforehand. If you're in a hurry to get somewhere, you'll have to wait until 7 and lose time. Calling reception is no help because they won't answer before then. Basically, you're stuck until 7 and can't do anything. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but that's the truth.
