The park around the corner was handy for my dog, and the location worked well for sightseeing and going out in the evening. I was touched by how simply and trustingly the owners handled my phone booking. Communication was easy, and the hotel felt like home. There’s a lot of love and respect for people and the building’s history.

We’d booked ahead and specifically needed the obligatory baby cot, but it wasn’t there when we arrived after travelling 800 kilometres straight. We left without even checking in, yet they still didn’t give us a full refund. I would have liked to rate the hotel better, but I can’t.

Came back after two years and found the rooms newly refurbished and the breakfast tastier. A really nice place. Thanks to the Alt Gorlitz team, I’d happily recommend it.
