I’d avoid staying here. The room had a strange, old smell, and the balcony door wouldn’t shut, so wind came in. Water pressure was weak, making it hard to rinse off the soap, and the bathroom drain struggled even with the low flow. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as you’d hope, either. Breakfast was a joke: for three people there were just a few slices of salami and cheese, and the coffee was watery with grounds in it. The yogurt was left out of the fridge, so we didn’t trust it. There are only three parking spots in the backyard. If you get one, great; otherwise you have to park on the street.

The breakfast was carefully put together and delicious, served in a comfortable dining room. I was also surprised by how thoughtfully the room was set up: a flat-screen TV, dressing gown, fresh towels, aroma sticks, a Kleenex box, and other little touches made it feel cosy. The shower and toilet were across the floor, but they were always clean and private. Gästehaus Graul is a place I’d gladly visit again and recommend to anyone looking for accommodation.

Good value, with a decent breakfast and a spacious, clean room. It’s very close to the town centre, and there’s free parking on the road.
