The surroundings are fantastic. Try the liebebanksweg, a walk and climb of about 7 km. The hotel has an old-fashioned German style, with a sofa group in the room for relaxing. Breakfast was okay for the price, and the cocktail bar was excellent, though they only took cash.

The hotel sits in the mountains with a beautiful view straight out over the town's two lakes. Inside, there's lots of beautifully carved wood, and the rooms are nicely furnished. There is a small pool and two saunas, one Turkish and one Finnish. Our stay included breakfast and dinner at the connected restaurant, both served as buffets, with drinks costing extra. Breakfast had a great range of choices, while dinner was okay. In the evening, I recommend trying the delicious cocktails at the bar. Hikers can take the very easy Leibesbank trail around the lakes. WiFi is available in the bar, but not in the rooms.

It's a good hotel in an old mountain-style cabin. The food buffet is German, nothing over the top, but I liked the place and the surrounding nature.
