Pension Maria am Schlosspark

The room was neat and very clean, and the landlady was kind, helpful, and always around. She also did a lovely job of meeting our requests. We’d recommend the guesthouse and come back.

The natural garden is beautifully kept, and guests can relax there. It’s also easy to get around from here: Netto and the picturesque castle park are within walking distance, and the station is about a seven-minute walk away for trips in the area. We stayed in a spacious second-floor apartment in a charming old house, in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. There are two comfortable bedrooms, a large, fully equipped kitchen, and a bright bathroom. The living room stood out, with stylish old wooden beams that give it a special feel. The landlady lives on the ground floor and was incredibly friendly and ready to help. She made us feel at home right away.

Mrs. Gattner, the friendly owner, took such thoughtful care of me and really tries to meet her guests’ wishes. I felt very comfortable at Pension Maria during my short break in the Thuringian Forest. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Friedenstein Castle and its gardens are just a minute away on foot. We had an affordable apartment in a relaxed, family-run place, and ours even came with a terrace. There’s also a big garden with a swing. Highly recommended!
