Place2be

We found the house even more appealing in person than it looked in the online photos. This lovingly renovated log cabin was spotless, well cared for, and beautifully furnished. It sits on a hillside, and the sunny terrace has a magnificent view, with a quality table and chairs, a grill, and lounge chairs for taking it easy or having a leisurely barbecue. Inside, the brown log walls work nicely with the mostly white, modern furniture and white doors. The bathroom and kitchen aren't large, but they were perfectly adequate. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, including an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator, which was handy when we didn't want to eat out. We especially liked the stylish main bedroom and its excellent box-spring bed, where we slept really well. The second bedroom, set up as a children's room, was modern and charming, and there were plenty of other useful touches around the house. The pellet stove in the attractive living room kept things cosy without the mess of carrying wood. Place 2 be is ranked #2 in Grafenau, and we can see why. We were comfortable from the minute we arrived. The owner and her husband looked after us wonderfully. For a holiday in the Bavarian Forest, we couldn't have asked for more.

The owners were very friendly, quick to reply, and easy to communicate with directly. Their modern, comfortable holiday home also made a great starting point for all kinds of activities. When we left some belongings behind, they sent them to us free of charge. Top-notch.

We had a wonderful five days at Haus i.Wald. The stylish holiday home completely won us over, and it had everything we could have wanted. The weather was perfect as well. We'd definitely come back to enjoy the beautiful landscape again.

We'd absolutely love to come back! The place is just as beautiful in person as it looks in the photos. The walls and pellet stove give it such a warm, cosy, romantic feel, and everything is coordinated so nicely. The owner and her young son were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We felt very welcome and knew we could contact the owner any time with questions or concerns. If we return to the area, we'll definitely ask about staying here again!
