We found plenty of good markets, cafes, and bakeries nearby, and the hotel staff were very nice. Breakfast had a lot to choose from, including fresh bread and pastries, fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, vegetables, fried potatoes, cereal, chicken wings, cheese, and cold cuts. Room options range from a standard room to an apartment with a full kitchen. There are no curtains, but the electric shutters, called rolladen in Germany, work from the wall switch. Someone had complained about the light without apparently trying the switches. And press the towel warmer button for a warm hug. Shop local and enjoy your stay!

I still think about the food here, some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s been 12 or 13 years since my stay, before all the Facebook stuff, but I’m glad to give a five-star rating to a place that’s stayed in my heart. The rooms were exquisitely clean, and this family-run business felt deeply connected to the community, with a building that seemed to have a long history. I hope I live long enough to travel to Germany again and return. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast was included and really high quality, and the staff were very accommodating. They spoke perfect English, which helped since my German is pretty basic. I had an excellent stay and will definitely try to come back when I’m in the area.

I tried the Turkeyschnitzel “Vienna Style” with raw milk cheese and noodles, my first time having anything unpasteurized. It was unusual in a good way and delicious, and the side salad was good too. The portions and quality were both great. It’s a cozy little spot serving traditional Bavarian food, and they’re friendly to English speakers. I’d come again.

The Farmer's salad was the best I’ve ever had, and the apple strudel was a first for me and amazing. Finding vegetarian options can be hard for me, so I was especially happy with the food. The waitress was kind, funny, friendly, and really helpful. The beautiful place reminded me of being back home in Tennessee. I’d recommend it to anyone. 💕
