The bathroom slope on the top floor could be awkward for taller guests. We also found the pillows quite soft, though firmer ones might be available if you ask. This was our second Carnival Break here, and it was just as good as expected: spacious rooms, a good breakfast, and very kind treatment.

Birdsong and the little stream made the beautiful garden feel especially peaceful, and there’s a shallow stretch you can walk through. The mountain view is lovely too. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the hotel restaurant’s varied menu.

The town has a calm, magical feel, with traditional buildings, and it makes a lovely base for seeing the region. At the hotel, we enjoyed the indoor pool, sauna, outdoor seating, and table tennis. The food was fresh and delicious with plenty of choices, and bikes and local transport tickets were included in the price. It feels like a large family home, with traditional furnishings, warm lighting, an old-fashioned charm, and wonderful views of the Alpes and Zugspitze. The staff were friendly, responsive, and very helpful.

The hotel is close to lots of hikes, and they give you a card for local transport. We had a great stay, with attentive, friendly service and a lovely view from the room. Dinner was excellent, and breakfast was great too.
