We left with happy memories of a pleasant evening. My wife and I were there for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year. The Hotel is tucked away in the Odenwald, an area known among hikers, and both the Hotel and Restaurant have been tastefully renovated to a very high standard. Hand-painted murals decorate the walls. The short menu still offers a range of choices, including vegetarian dishes. I especially enjoyed the ginger carrot soup as a starter, and every course was beautifully presented and kept up the same high standard.

The setting was beautiful, though the menu was pricey for such ordinary food. Service felt hesitant, and I hear the rooms are small.

The room was busy, but the four of us still had plenty of space and felt almost as if we had the restaurant to ourselves. We ate there yesterday using the Schlemmerblock discount booklet, and the ambiance was lovely. We felt comfortable right away, and it seems well suited to weddings. The staff were warm and attentive without hovering, and they kept joking around even when we hadn't ordered anything. The food, dessert and homemade lemonades were delicious. The evening flew by, and we didn't notice how late it had got. The team stayed calm throughout. We were only there for dinner, so no surprises. We'll definitely be back. Thank you! 😊👍👌

The food was good, so that earns the one star, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. We found the owner unfriendly and grumpy, though most of the staff were friendly and helpful. At €120, a room of around 12 square meters with no minibar, wardrobe or similar amenities is completely overpriced.
