Das Achental Resort

The buffet breakfast was incredible, honestly enough to make me want to return just for that, and my husband loved the golf course. I’m looking forward to another visit. I did hope for more of a spa feel, with a hot tub and steam room, and didn’t want to have to go through the gym to reach a sauna. The indoor pool felt a little too chilly for me. The rooms are pricey, and so is playing golf. The rooms do have A.C.

The service was warm and friendly, and we enjoyed the barbecue at the back cottage as well as time at the driving range. The dining choices are excellent, the scenery is soothing, and the wellness center is fairly large, with dumbbells up to 20 kg. Both pools were nice. We spent four days here, and the calm atmosphere made it easy to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There are two places to dine in-house, and plenty to do as a guest, including wellness, spa, and sports activities. The hotel is cozy and lovely, set in an amazing landscape. I was pleasantly surprised by its high standard and came away very pleased. The staff were caring and helpful, always looking out for my well-being, and made me feel warmly welcomed. Wishing the staff and management all the best. I highly recommend it.

The gardens and landscaping throughout the resort gave the stay a calm, refreshing feel. Service was five-star across the resort, and dinner was superb, with great service. Breakfast also had a plentiful selection of food and drinks. It’s a beautiful, quaint resort in a gorgeous part of Bavaria, with plenty to see and do. It’s a bit out from Munich, but well worth the drive. I definitely plan to return.
