The room was clean and cozy, and check-in went smoothly when we stayed overnight. At the restaurant, the portions were big and the food quality was very high. There are Bavarian dishes as well as local options from around cheimsee, with comfort food throughout. The food and drinks were quite reasonably priced by Bavarian standards, and there are several parking spaces around the restaurant.

My girlfriend was glad to find plenty of vegetarian choices here, including tofu with grilled vegetables and sweet potato rösti. That can be hard to come by, since German cuisine has traditionally put its focus on meat. I enjoyed the classic meaty dishes, too. Thanks from both of us for a great Bavarian restaurant with options we both liked.

The owners are such a friendly couple, and breakfast was just right. For the price, this bed and breakfast in a tiny town is fantastic. The rooms are quaint rather than lavish, which was fine by me since I don’t travel to Germany to stay in my room. The view is spectacular, and the food is fantastic. Berchtesgaden, Chiemsee, and Salzburg are all easy drives of under an hour for sightseeing.
