Stöcklhof

The homemade plum jam at breakfast was especially good, and there was plenty to eat. We spent eight nights at Haus Stöckelhof and felt very comfortable. Our room was bright, nicely furnished with lovely wooden furniture, and the bathroom was clean. One window looked out to the mountains while we were lying in bed, and the spacious balcony had a fantastic view too. It’s peaceful here, close to the mountains, and great for cycling. We brought our bikes and could lock them away in a barn. Parking was easy, and the hostess was friendly, with a lovely dog and beautiful flowers. We’d probably come back.

We borrowed bikes for free and found the area ideal for cycling. Landhaus Stöcklhof has the Bavarian feel you’d hope for on a holiday in Bavaria, both in the house and the rooms. We stayed a week and thought the price was very good for what we got. The hostess was friendly, and we had a wonderful time.

Lake Chiemsee is just a five-minute drive away, and the mountains are easy to reach for hiking or climbing. The setting itself is lovely and peaceful, with good parking right by the house. Our room was simple but comfortable, and breakfast was enough for us. The owner was friendly and the dog was cute. We had a very good stay and can recommend it.

The pillows could have been better, though it wasn’t a big deal. We spent a week here and would be happy to return next year. The owner was lovely, and breakfast was both tasty and generous.
