Holiday Inn Hotel Garden Court Rastatt

The beds were comfortable, but I didn’t sleep well in room 325 last night. The air conditioning only blew warm air, and the heating came on in the middle of the night, making the room far too hot. The room also didn’t smell very fresh, so I had to keep the window open. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but the hotel should check the AC in this room.

We contacted the hotel several times before arriving and always got a quick reply. The family room was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom our son could easily use in his wheelchair. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. We were traveling from Italy to the UK and stopped halfway with my wife and our disabled son. The hotel is conveniently close to the A5 and not far from the French border. Parking cost €12, which wasn’t an issue. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The room was tidy and clean, but it had a strange smell. When we arrived, a hotel employee asked whether we’d reserved parking and said the lot was full, though it had about 10 spaces. We were told to park behind the supermarket next door. The parking arrangement is very odd, and carrying all our luggage up two stories of metal stairs was expected. The staff were rude and not friendly at all.

A nice, cosy place for a group of friends. We rented it for one night and it was equipped. The one downside was parking: the website said it was free, but we had to pay when we got there.
