DJH Jugendherberge Greifswald - Hostel

Breakfast was okay, and the kitchen staff were extremely nice. The other staff came across as arrogant and snippy, especially when handing over the room. The barbecue we booked was pretty disappointing too: the roasts, steaks, pasta salad, and potato salad were good, but the crudités were a disaster and the chicken seemed like it might have been left over from lunch. The bikes for rent at the Youth Hostel looked very worn, had no suspension, and weren't suitable for a longer ride, like to the stand. The beds were only okay, the rooms weren't great, and there was dirt in every corner. The fluorescent light on the wall shelf by the bed makes it easy to bump your head. There were just four small closets and only two sockets by the sink. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and useless. Each floor has only two shared toilets, one for boys and one for girls, and four showers for guests from around ten rooms. The showers leaked water all the way into the hallway. The building doors are so heavy they can only be closed with a bang. No recommendation!
