Land-hotel Am Wald Garni

The bathrooms have been renovated and are very clean. I don't think this is the best hotel you'll ever visit, but it's a pleasant place to stay. It seems like a family business, and the gentleman who's always around is very friendly. In the morning, you're allowed to make a sandwich to take along, which is something I haven't come across elsewhere.

The landlords are very nice, and breakfast is both good and plentiful. You can even prepare sandwiches for your hike. I'd gladly stay here again.

The hotel is great, and the rooms are excellent. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of food, and you can make sandwiches to take away. They'll bring out more if you ask. Don't miss the homemade jam. The pool is available by arrangement, and there's a terrace out front where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.

The breakfast was a highlight for us: freshly prepared, with fresh rolls, fruit, cold cuts, cheese, and plenty of homemade jams. From arrival to departure, we felt completely comfortable with the Elschner family. They've run the hotel for more than 30 years with real passion and dedication. The whole building was spotless, everything worked as it should, and it felt a bit like being at home. The value for money was excellent. Hotel am Wald is a real gem, and its many certificates and awards are well deserved. Many thanks, and all the best to the lovely Elschner family.
