Erlebnishotel Zur Schiffsmühle

The patio sits right in front of the restaurant and has lovely views of the nearby area. From there, it's easy to take a pleasant stroll through the fields or the village. The staff are very kind and look after guests, and you can settle in comfortably inside or outside. It's a lovely spot for some rest, with a welcoming restaurant that's great for families. At the moment, though, the restaurant is temporarily closed because of the coronavirus situation, so check for reopening news if you plan to eat there.

We stopped for one night while heading home from Poland. The countryside was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing!

Grimma isn't far from the bike path, so the Schiffmühle makes a handy place to stop for something to eat or drink. There's plenty to enjoy, and I always like it here. A ship mill is what this place used to be, and now you can stay here or come by for a meal and a drink. People come from nearby and farther away, and I think there's usually something good on offer.

We only stopped at the cafe on a busy summer Saturday. It was crowded and the waitress was slow, while the ice cream was just okay. They did have paper and pencils for the children, though, and there's a playground nearby.
