Really lovely room, a great location, and super friendly staff. This place is amazing.

I stayed with my mother in mid-September 2022 and would very happily come back. The staff were all lovely and friendly, and there was free parking on site, with several spots along the street. It's conveniently close to the station and a ten-minute walk from the Passion Theatre. Our spacious room had a little sitting room beside the bedroom and a lovely view of the toboggan run and the mountain west of town. The bathroom was small but clean. Hot water takes ages to come through, but it does eventually. There's no fridge or cooling, though it was cool enough that I didn't get too hot, and there is a safe. The firm bed was very comfortable, with a lovely feather doona I didn't need. Breakfast was excellent.

I only stayed one night after the Passion play performance, and I didn't want to leave. This is a family-run place with real character and charm. Old family photos and comfy antique chairs made it feel welcoming. My twin bedroom was exceptionally clean, with a door opening onto a beautiful balcony. The ensuite was compact, with a smallish corner shower, but had thoughtful extras like cotton buds and shower caps. Downstairs there's a night fridge with beer and hot water for tea, both with honesty boxes. Breakfast was a wonderful continental spread, and you certainly won't go hungry. Otto, the owner, acted in the Passion play in the 90s. His nephew, who served breakfast, was in the play we watched, and his grandson welcomed us when we arrived. I spent ten minutes reading in the sunny garden while waiting for our coach. A fabulous place if you like a traditional stay.

This family-run bed and breakfast is about a ten-minute walk from the center of Oberammergau. The ensuite rooms are comfortable, and some have balconies overlooking town. Breakfast is a nice buffet, and you can buy cold water and other drinks from the fridge. Highly recommended, though it's fully booked during the Oberammergau Passion Play.
