The apartment had been renovated, but it smelled musty, especially in the kitchen, and there was mold in the shower grout. When we arrived, the bedrooms, living room, and bathroom had no curtains or blinds; they were put up that evening after we specifically asked. We also missed having large bath towels. At €159 a night, the cost felt far too high. We were asked to pay the €671 total in cash on arrival, without an invoice, which seemed questionable. We found the stay disappointing and wouldn't recommend it.

Apartment number 2 had a large, covered balcony with plenty of space for the whole family. Facing north, it still gets sun at breakfast. Inside, it's nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped, with a washing machine too. Parking is available to rent. The location is central, with the Mulde River almost across the street and the highway under 10 minutes away. Restaurants, shops, and an ice cream parlor are close by, and the city forest is only a short walk over the suspension bridge. The apartment stayed too chilly for us, even with the bathroom and other rooms heated all the way up. At 20°C it still felt cold, especially in the bathroom, where we prefer at least 23°C. That's why I'm taking off a star.

We stayed in apartment number 5 for a weekend in late April and were very pleased. It was spotless, tidy, and fantastic, and the prices were very fair. The hosts were polite as well. We'll remember this place and recommend it to others, and we'd be happy to stay there again for our next event! 😊👍🏼

The landlord's payment arrangements were odd. Card payment wasn't working, bank transfer wasn't accepted, and cash was the only option. They came by at least three times a day to ask for the money, which made us uncomfortable. We were also taken aback when, after bragging about the new expensive beds, the landlord demonstrated a jumping test on our beds. The apartment itself is nice, but the price rise is huge and the value no longer makes sense. For the same money, I could have booked a hotel with breakfast. It was especially frustrating that some sites had advertised the apartment for less, though those listings have since been removed.

It's a very quiet spot in a peaceful small town, and the apartment is comfortable and well equipped, with secure parking. The owner keeps everything carefully arranged. You can easily drive to Leipzig, Dresden, or Chemnitz. Across the street, there's an ice cream parlor I'd recommend, and the Wolf bakery and confectionery has a good breakfast to take away from 7:00 AM.
