On bike tours, we often stop here. The garden has a shady spot under a big tree, with a lovely view of the windmill. It feels about as close to an English country pub as you’ll find in this part of Germany. There are good vegetarian choices, and the apple strudel, made from an Austrian recipe, is fantastic. The cakes are great too. And maybe cut back on the meat to keep your carbon footprint down!

We had a memorable New Year’s Eve here. The owner’s great sense of humor was a big part of it, and the service was incredibly attentive. Our table was set so beautifully and invitingly, and there was a huge spread of food and desserts at the buffet. It was simply superb. We’ll definitely come back.

I’ve been to the Mühlenwirtin restaurant three times now, and the food has been absolutely delicious every time. They’re also happy to handle individual requests, like Kaiserschmarrn without raisins ;-). The service was extremely attentive, and it’s a fantastic restaurant in a great location with wonderful people. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

After a long bike ride, we were thoroughly looked after by a wonderful hostess who clearly has everything under control. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the rooms were immaculately furnished. Being out in such a remote spot also made for a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep. After breakfast, we got to visit the mill and had a knowledgeable guide. The quiet, secluded setting outside the mill is part of what makes this place special, and the price feels perfectly fair for the handcrafted quality. We came to the Mühlenwirtin restaurant on friends’ recommendation and were more than happy with our choice. The schnitzel was super delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn was superb. The staff were very friendly, and the owner came out to greet every table. There was nothing we could fault. We’ll be back, since there’s still plenty more on the menu we want to try.
