Landhotel Littcher Hof

I was pleasantly surprised by this “country hotel.” The food was excellent, with proper flavor, unlike the barely cooked or burnt “fried potatoes” and ready-made schnitzel and sauces I find so unacceptable at other restaurants. The welcome was very friendly, and my small single room was perfectly good. There’s also a lovely beer garden. It’s good value, centrally located, and made it easy to reach everything of interest nearby. I’ll definitely come back.

The owners were very friendly, and both meals were generous and tasty. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with portions big enough for even the most dedicated hiker. Breakfast was plentiful too. The rooms are simple, clean, and well kept, and the price for what you get is excellent.

The owner gave us a kind welcome after a long motorcycle ride through this beautiful area in June 2017. The rooms are simple, but very clean and tidy, with box spring mattresses and a spacious shower area. Dinner and breakfast portions were very generous. Motorcyclists are well catered for, with bikes parked behind lock and key in a covered area. A very good choice for a stay in this area.

The family running the Littcher Hof were all friendly and accommodating. The mother cooked, the daughters took care of service, and their young grandson helped out. After our long hike, it was convenient to leave our muddy boots by the entrance. Our room was simple but spacious, and the cozy restaurant and separate, tastefully furnished dining room with its pleasant crackling fire were lovely. The food was good, and the breakfast buffet had everything you’d want for a good hiker’s breakfast.
