Hotel Krone

We only ate at the restaurant, so I can't really say anything about the hotel. The waiters were polite, and the service handled our family group well, with five adults and five kids. The food was good too.

We go here often and love it. The different dining rooms each have their own style, so you can pick one that suits your mood, and there's a good range of wines. The soups and desserts are tasty too, but the meat dishes are the real highlight for us, especially the steaks and game, cooked and seasoned just right. It feels like Michelin-level dining at a very affordable price. A great place in the region.

The service was extremely nice and professional, and the food was excellent. One of the best places to eat out. Highly recommend.

I gave it one star because the fruit and yoghurt were okay, and that's all I needed. It was 38C outside, but the room felt like 50C. There was no air conditioning, and when I asked reception for a fan, they said they had none available because they were all in use. Opening the window wasn't an option if you wanted to sleep: there were cars, tramps, and church bells every 15 minutes. I moved to another nearby hotel for one night rather than spend 24 hours in a sauna, but still had to pay for the empty room at the krone. The hotel is old and the rooms are small, like a prison. It might be okay in cold weather, when you don't need fresh air from outside.
