Metllach is our favourite stop on the way to Italy or Bavaria, and hotel Zum Schwan is a lovely place to take a break in summer or winter. We love it here. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is fantastic. In winter, breakfast at the Cafe Marxen next door is fabulous, and so are the coffee and cakes in the afternoon. Ask the staff what there is to see or do, you’ll be amazed.

Delicious food, cold beer, and quick service. The salad was excellent, and our waitress was kind and always smiling. She speaks at least German, French, and English. Well done!

We came across this nice restaurant on a family trip. The staff were caring and friendly, and the local dishes were good. I was satisfied, though I think the prices could be lower. Thank you!

We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t speak to the rooms. The dishes were excellent and the service was, too. The beergarden in Mettlach’s pedestrian zone was peaceful and pleasant. Quite recommendable.

Yesterday the restaurant staff were completely unfriendly. The card reader was having problems, but instead of apologizing, they verbally attacked me and said the issue was with my card. Never again. It’s a shame, because the food wasn’t as bad as their behavior.
