The lake is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever visited, though the fish weren’t especially active. That didn’t take away from the appeal of the house. It was so well equipped and furnished that we really lacked nothing. We’d love to return.
The house has a covered terrace and tall hedges on both sides, so it feels secluded from view. The furnishings are fairly standard, while the setting is the real draw: a private dock, a rowboat and a beautiful view of Lake Schaalsee. At €200 a night, you’re mainly paying for the location. It’s a very nice holiday home.

We’re absolutely delighted and will definitely come back. The little house is fantastic, has everything you need, and sits in a dream location. There are lots of hiking options in beautiful natural surroundings. We had friendly contact with the owner. Thanks again, and best wishes.
