The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of choice and good quality food. The coffee could be better, though. My room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, although the carpet could have been cleaner. The hotel sits right by Rhein, with lovely views and a great riverside route for a morning or evening walk or run. Staff spoke English well, which made it easy to ask for things and communicate.

The room was great, especially the bath and the view of the rhine, and the service was really friendly. The restaurant was a different story. The salmon was raw inside, the vegetables were still partly frozen and clearly microwaved, and the burger, though it looked decent, was black on the outside. Maybe skip eating there.

The Rhine River view is lovely, and the prices seem fair for it. Everything inside was very clean, including the rest rooms. You can also rent electronic bikes for a ride along the dikes, either up or down the Rhine.

The view is breathtaking, and the hotel is really clean. Breakfast is generous and inexpensive. Since coming to Germany, this is the hotel I've enjoyed most so far. I'd also strongly recommend the boat trip to Emmerich. Update: I visited again, and the service was still perfect.

I stayed in room 205 from November 3-8. It's a nice room with a bathtub, but the furniture is dated and a bit scratched. I complained about the lack of room cleaning, and despite asking reception three times, they only cleaned once during my stay. For a hotel meant to be in the 4-star category, breakfast was disappointing and not what I expected. I'd rate it no higher than 2*+. Look at the breakfast photos and judge for yourself.
