At least the internet worked well. The accommodation itself was truly filthy, and I was surprised no other guests were there at the time. Some of the furnishings were dangerously broken. The shower took ages to warm up, and there wasn’t even a shower curtain. After staying there, I wasn’t surprised anymore.

The location is great, but after our five-day stay in August with our two small children, we wouldn’t want to return. It seemed small and cozy at first glance, but a closer look changed that impression. The TV got no channels, the shower curtain had mold, and the kitchen had no hot water for the whole stay.

I love Grömitz, but I’ve never felt so uncomfortable, and I can’t recommend apartment number 5. The entrance area was an absolute disaster, filthy, and the bathrooms were poor and dirty. Cooking in the “kitchen” was simply impossible: there were far too few dishes and too few utensils to make a decent meal. There are more problems than positives here. Unbelievable!

We were very satisfied with both the accommodation and the service. Haus Norden is a good option for a short trip, and we’d be happy to stay there again.

The location is great, and dogs are welcome. It’s on a busier street, but the beach is only a five-minute walk away. The landlords were friendly, and the apartment made a decent impression overall. I didn’t use the bike rental, so can’t comment on that. There was plenty of storage, and the bedroom had a dresser, wardrobe, safe, and a small balcony with a sea view. But the bed creaked with every movement and needs checking. The kitchen had the basics, though there were only two teaspoons, the fridge thermostat knob was missing, and the extractor hood needed cleaning. The bathroom had a hairdryer, but the shower drain didn’t work properly and the shower head wasn’t in great shape. I think the bathroom needs renovating. The separate toilet has a beautiful stained-glass window worth keeping, though a sturdier toilet seat would be nice. Parking is very limited. I ended up with a long scratch in the paint 😑
