Hotel Zur schönen Aussicht

The Baltic Sea view from our room was sunny and really refreshing. We had a short break here with our dog Ella, and they had everything ready for her, including a bowl and blanket. Having her with us at breakfast was no problem either. The room was very large and had everything we needed. Very dog-friendly, and we'll definitely come back.

Breakfast tasted good, with fish and salmon, and the restaurant has a very good view. But the tablecloths weren't clean and could have been changed more often. The fruit needs peeling, and there aren't any tools at the table, so you end up with sticky fingers. The view of the pier and Lübeck Bay/Travemünde was advertised for watching the New Year's Eve fireworks, but that wasn't possible. There are no power outlets by the bed, and the wardrobe/bed conversion takes up a huge amount of space. The seating area is pleasant, though the armchairs aren't very comfortable. The elevators in the hotel and down to the promenade only run until 6 p.m., and they don't always work. That makes this place unsuitable for people with limited mobility. Pets are allowed, and there were plenty during our stay. The hotel's own dog's food bowl is right beside the kitchen (see photo), which made me wonder about hygiene. At this price, with noticeable sewage problems in an aging hotel, I can't recommend it. Between the elevators and the thought that a dog might have slept in my bed, we won't be back.

The freshly made fried eggs, coffee, salmon, cheese and other breakfast options were a treat. We stayed three nights with our dog, and they provided him with a blanket, two bowls and a treat. We could get into room 12 three hours before check-in. The room was warm, clean and spacious. The shower worked perfectly with good water pressure, and we slept very well in the large box-spring beds. Parking was free and Wi-Fi was included. A pleasant stay and very good value for money.

At reception they were very nice and flexible, even though I hadn't booked. My room at the Schöne Aussicht was new and spotlessly clean, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. I was extremely satisfied with everything and will definitely be back soon.
